The majority of Beerflex’s volume is generated from Beerflex DDS (Direct Delivery Scheme). Founded in 2002, DDS now buys over 4,500 draught and bottled beers from around 450 participating SIBA brewers and sells them on to 12 national pub companies and off-trade retailers – companies with which, until the establishment of Beerflex, brewers of local beers found it extremely difficult to trade.
The operation is very simple. Beerflex DDS receives orders from a company or outlet direct via EDI, e-mail, telephone or via SIBA’s Online Order Portal and we distribute them on a daily basis to Beerflex brewing members.
Breweries access their orders through their own unique ‘login’ via the SIBA Members’ Toolbox and deliver the required products direct to the outlet according to the SIBA Delivery Charter.
SIBA Beerflex DDS reports centrally on all deliveries made and provides consolidated invoices to the customer Head Office, which will then produce any appropriate documentation for the individual outlet.
Here’s an example of some of the companies Beerflex DDS works with:
Admiral Taverns
Brasserie Bar Co
Edinburgh Woollen Mills
Ei Group
Fullers
Greene King Managed & Leased
Hawthorn Leisure
London Town Pub Management
NUSSL Bars
Punch Taverns
Star Pubs & Bars
Trust Inns
Wadworth Pubco
WH Brakespear
Pubco’s and customers alike, can be reassured that they are receiving quality beer brewed by UK Brewers. It is mandatory that Brewers who wish to supply Beerflex are enrolled in the SIBA FSQ (Food Safety Quality) or an alternative scheme such as Salsa, NSF, STS or BRC.
I have been impressed from the very start with SIBA Beerflex’s ability to deliver what is a complex and diverse category with very little issue or problems – you just seem to get on with it.
James Rowe Senior Marketing Manager @ Greene King
Beerflex is an integral part of our weekly sales, we’ve now built some great regular business through it, and it seems that every week, there’s a new pub willing to give us a go

The SIBA DDS/Beerflex scheme has helped Ossett Brewery grow from a micro-brewery at the back of a pub into a small regional brewery. The scheme helped us in our early days to develop sales in the larger Pub Companies estates that otherwise we would of had no chance of accessing. This access not only increased sales but also awareness of our beers and brand. The success of our brands through SIBA then allowed us to prove to the likes of Punch and Enterprise that our brands were popular in their estates and this is turn allowed us to get direct listings with these companies. I’d encourage smaller brewers to think of SIBA as a stepping stone towards dealing direct with larger pub companies that are a necessity if brewers are going to expand production.
I look forward to the increased flexibility SIBA will offer with the role out of Beerflex flexible pricing and the Beer Manager system that allows brewers to offer more seasonal beers and change brands more efficiently.
Andy Pollard @ Ossett Brewery
