Job Summary – Delivery Driver
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting beer to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. A background in warehouse operations or commercial driving is advantageous. Company van provided!
Responsibilities
- Drive a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of all products.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any issues encountered during transport.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not on deliveries, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Previous experience in delivery driving or warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interactions.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as required by the delivery schedule.
There is also the option to increase your hours by working on the brewery floor/ or at the Tap Room (bar work).
