The role
As General Brewery Assistant you will provide support to the Production and Warehouse Teams to ensure a smooth operation in all departments. This role will involve, but not be limited to, using packaging equipment, handing stock and, cleaning and maintaining equipment. You will report to the Packaging Co-ordinator or the Warehouse Manager with matters relating to your day-to-day work, but will be managed administratively by the Production Manager with matters relating to HR.
Responsibilities
● Assist with the packaging of beer into can, keg, cask or bottle as directed by the Packaging Co-ordinator
● Assist with the preparation of orders and movement/organisation of stock as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
● Maintaining the Brewery and Warehouse workspaces to the highest possible standard of hygiene and tidiness.
● Moving goods with pallet/forklift truck
● Following SOPs for any tasks to be carried out.
● Participate in weekly/monthly team meetings as requested by the relevant meeting chair.
● Follow safety guidelines set out by DEYA Brewing Company.
● Engage with the product and job role and maintain a positive attitude towards work, including driving continual improvement within the role.
Selection criteria Essential Skills:
● Working in a physically demanding environment
Desirable:
● Experience working in a brewery
● ForkLift Truck certification
● Comfortable working with IT e.g. Google Suite

● Working in hot and cold environments
● Regular manual handling
● Work with cereals containing gluten
● Work with any substance which will be provided at interview

Packaging Department / Team
The department of Packaging is responsible for packaging our products into can, keg, bottle and cask to the highest possible standard. The current packaging team consists of 3 core staff with assistance from the General Brewery Assistant as required:
