From our state-of-the-art brewery/music venue in Blackhorse Road, London, we’re creating a world of incredible beer and music, built around people, passion and creativity. We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Packaging Operative to join our growing production team at our Blackhorse Road HQ. The successful candidate will be responsible for running canning and kegging production lines from start up to shut down to deliver packaged volumes on time whilst adhering to the highest levels of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
Set up Duties;
- Preparing packaging materials
- Clearing space in the working area and preparing ancillary materials and equipment.
- Setting up packaging machinery and product lines.
Shift packaging duties;
- Operating, troubleshooting and assisting with maintenance of all packaging equipment.
- Quality checking packaged products (TIPOs, can seam tests, weight checks.)
- Cleaning, filling and palletising kegs.
- Operating the canning line and all in line equipment.
- Assisting and managing pack-out.
Completing the post-shift clean-down duties;
- Marking and putting away beer, ancillary materials and equipment.
- Clearing and rinsing down the canning line and production floor.
- Clearing and cleaning all packaging areas.
- Maintaining brewery management software and brewing records.
- Carrying out stock takes and assisting with stock management.
Other Responsibilities
- Adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for your own safety and of those around you.
- Creating and updating controlled documentation (SOPs and OLPs.)
- Identify and report hazards / unsafe practices to your team leader to get them resolved quickly and safely.
- Ensuring Quality Management system is diligently followed to meet accreditation standards (i.e. SALSA.)
- Supporting the teams throughout the business as required, including Cellar, Production, Warehouse and Distribution teams
- Operating forklift to unload and load deliveries as well arranging pallets in storage.

- Experience working in a brewery preferable but not essential
