Taproom Manager

Stannary Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery situated in Tavistock, Devon on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.
Started in 2016, we have grown the brewery from homebrewers to national award winners through our ambitious aims to bring the best quality full flavoured beers to the people of Devon and the UK.
A key part to the success of the brewery is our Taproom and due to our current taproom manager leaving for pastures new we are looking for a pro-active, passionate and flexible person to join our small team based at the brewery in Tavistock.
The Taproom at Stannary is open every weekend serving brewery-fresh beer and locally sourced food and drink to our customers and run events at the brewery throughout the year. We see the Taproom Manager role as one that the suitable candidate could make their own and hope that the role will evolve over time.
Responsibilities
- To drive forward and promote the Stannary Brewing Taproom
- To build a community around the Brewery and Taproom
- Manage and grow the taproom team including training and shift-planning
- Oversee cellar maintenance and quality standards
- Source new products, manage and order stock for the bar.
- Plan, Organise and promote brewery events
- Marketing of the Taproom through social media
- Conducting weekly brewery tours on a Saturday
- Management of street food vendors on a weekend
- Book music, promote and organise music events including TEN applications
- Drive our retail sales on a daily basis and explore local marketing projects
- Maintain staff rotas and holidays
- Maintenance of cellar equipment and fixtures within the taproom
Requirements
- Demonstrate a passion for the very best customer service
- Previous experience in a similar environment
- Desire to learn new skills and inspire the team and customers
- Flexible and always willing to go the extra mile
- People person with a strong community focus
- Taproom is open Friday, Saturday & Sunday every weekend

Working Hours – 30 – 40 Hour Contract (Includes Weekends)
Salary dependant on experience
